Case Study

Farmanow transforms the way people access medicines and personal care products with an app that combines technology, design and functionality. Its intuitive interface and modern visual identity transmit confidence and simplicity, positioning itself as a reliable ally for daily wellness.

About App

Problem

We all need to maintain our health at all times, and we never know when we might need to restore it with medication. That's why the pharmacy network has several pharmacies open on a rotating night shift. Having access to medication quickly and effectively becomes vital in the worst situations.

If we analyze factors such as low energy levels, the resulting lack of attention, and adverse weather conditions, all make it difficult to find a pharmacy at that time, in addition to the stress generated by being effective in obtaining this vital input to regain well-being and peace of mind.

When medication is needed urgently, ordering through delivery apps is not a valid option due to safety, speed, and cost.

Solution

Simplify the task of quickly and efficiently finding an open pharmacy at any time by creating an app.

Functionalities

Locate

Offer to geolocate ourselves on the map and let our direction schedule with the closest available pharmacy.

Contact

Will provide phone contact to communicate with the pharmacist.

Arrive

The app will tell us how many minutes we have up to her according to the chosen transport option.

Appreciate

The information provided will be validated by the user through the use of the application.

User Flow

Conclusions

After card sorting and usability tests we seek to change the end of the process by always having the veracity of the data in the app, so as an alternative in case the user does not want to inform what the problem with the pharmacy and closes it for this case so that the app returns the next closest pharmacy the user must previously inform the user which appears as a cta button.

Métrics

Euristic evaluation and usability tests
What worked

  • We verified the rapid adoption of the search flow in the app.
  • We verified the option to call the pharmacy for a consultation before traveling there as valid.
  • Users valued the app's simplicity and ease of use, allowing them to perform all the tested functions, verifying their effectiveness and efficiency.
What needs to improve

  • There is room for improvement in the address saving functionality, so we corrected the location by aligning it with the top icon to increase its readability and hopefully increase its engagement rate.
  • Rethink the review writing so that it doesn't cause confusion or fuel distrust in the app.

App Icon

Creation of the icon

The icon was designed as a conjunction among three rapid recognition units. The pharmacy sign represented by one more sign is worldwide recognized, the simplification of a pill to refer to a medication and the toggle as a digital element that invites us to the action.
